Blue Wedding
Flowers
Blue
flowers symbolize unity and trust. It is this concept
that makes blue wedding flowers in demand. Although there
are several colors that symbolize other traits, such as
purity, strength, devotion, and so on, blue is the most
popular choice because a wedding is ultimately about the
union of two people who will trust each other for the
rest of their lives.
Blue is
also sophisticated as it is always tied with Royal Blue.
It brings elegance to the wedding concept, either in
church or reception, and it is also certainly difficult
to match in terms of other decorations. Blue can vary
from light shades to darker ones that are almost really
green in hue. Normally, baby blue is the most common
choice for flowers, as this gives the atmosphere a light
and easy feel. It is also associated with the environment
because light blue is the color of the
sky.
Among
the many blue flowers that one can choose from are
Monkshood, Statice, Veronica, lobelia, Morning Glory,
Delphinium, Hydrangea, Lupine, Sweet Pea, Hibiscus,
Tulips, Phlox, and Juniper. There are many more, but
these are the most common flowers you will see in
shops.
The
arrangement does not have to be all in blue. There are
complimentary colors that may be used, like green and
purple, to give the weeding design a subtle look. Purple
provides richness to the lighter shades of blue, and it
brings warmth in the general ambience of the area. If
this theme is accentuated with silver from vases and
ribbons, the blue flowers will be enriched, not only in
dimension.
Black
can also be used to balance the light and dark hues of
baby blue and purple. Black will also add balance to the
usage of silver. To tone these all down, cream colors may
be used. Cream may come from ivory and sand, and this
will give a delicate touch to the brighter shades present
at the wedding. If black is not an option, navy blue can
take its place.
Blue
wedding flowers are practically a dime a dozen. However,
it is not really correct to fill the entire room with
this color of flowers, at it may seem overkill. What
needs to happen is to make the room vivid with the color
by putting the flowers in the rights spots, such as table
centerpieces. This will ensure that the theme is
identified and yet is not splattered all over. Blue
flowers have varying tones. This means that the
decoration should not use a single flower alone, but
different flowers may be put together to compensate for
the different tones.
