Angel Wedding Theme Ideas

A wedding symbolizes union for eternity. As such, angel wedding themes are common since they signify that the union being made here is heavenly. Normally, Christmas is the best season to gather ideas and items to be used for weddings of this theme.

The perfect place to have a wedding bearing this theme is the cathedral. Cathedrals are known for their high arches, painted ceilings, and glass-stained windows. Now, the bride. Brides can look heavenly in a white gown that looks ethereal. A halo may also be apt if this is the theme. A wand is not necessary since angels do not carry wands. Of course, the wings should never be missing. The groom can also sport a white tuxedo and wear a glorious halo and a matching sword to emulate Saint Michael the Archangel. The bridesmaids can get themselves into white chiffon dresses. They may also wear halos, but the design and color should be different from that of the bride. Feathered wings can also be used, but these should be smaller than the bride’s own wings.

Drawings of angels may be used to decorate the walls. However, these cutouts of board paper should be minimal and should be placed only in the right places. Too many angels will crowd the place and will make it look like overkill. In addition, angels need not be white, as angels can also be in baby blue.

The cake should be light blue to match the heavenly theme. Light blue cloth may be used to accentuate the cake. Cotton fluffs may be used to emulate clouds. This can be accentuated with silver and gold glitters to come up with that golden pavement in heaven. Angel chocolates will serve as great giveaways, too. The entire scenario should also have large pillars. If needed, one may add other angel wedding themes, such as an angel harpist and angel cookies. What matters, really, is that guests should be aware of the theme. There is no need to exaggerate on decoration for as long as the basic things needed are fulfilled.
